You could, for example, update the characteristics of the selected non-purgeable objects to relocate them to a separate layer, allowing you to then purge the layer on which they were previously put. The revised Purge dialog makes it easy to delete unwanted elements while also explaining why some objects cannot be removed from a drawing.
